Why Change Efforts Fail?
One of the more frustrating aspects of implementing change in organizations or with individuals is that they undertake -- willingly or unwillingly -- to make a change, but don’t reap the benefit of that change.
There are several reasons why strategic change management fails:
- First, the pre-planning wasn’t done properly.
- Second, leaders don’t effectively communicate the urgency of the change to their stakeholders.
- Thirdly, even though eleaders understand that the change effort is critical to the success of the organization -- and that it could even save their own job if fully executed -- they fail to engage. And often they fail to engage because they don’t see themselves as succeeding ...
- And fourthly, executives fail to actually finish implementing change management measures because other urgencies come along. Unfortunately, they fail to reap the benefits, despite all the effort they’ve put in to date. And then it’s easy for executives to say, “Oh, well, I knew it wouldn’t work!”
Ewing Change Consulting provides strategic change management services and guidance that help organizations easily and simply plan the change, initiate it and implement it , reaping the full anticipated benefits.
