Transforming Your Organization

Open Space Technology

Open Space Technology is a simple way to run productive meetings, for five to 2000+ people, and a powerful way to lead any kind of organization, in everyday practice and extraordinary change.

Open Space Technology is:

  • A method created by Harrison Owen, an Organizational Development consultant in the US who created it to allow the maximum possibility of “coffee break” conversations which all have in common that the people who want to be there are there, that people should be free to act on their passions and interests and that when these conditions are present, responsible people will create amazing results.
  • A method which is structured in such a way that when it’s at its best, the structure actually becomes invisible.
  • A method which requires careful planning and some letting go of outcomes to engage people’s energy.
  • A great and sometimes complex and relevant question that a group of people need to answer.
  • Ewing Change Consulting uses the principles of Open Space to work with teams, slices of management and other large groups who share an issue and wish to create a positive future.

Esther Ewing’s ... counsel and methods have made my role as a leader much stronger and more effective.
